Open Water Swim Training Camp - General schedule

Friday - Arrival at Camp
  • Check In/Arrival: Friday 4 to 9pm - with swim
  • Reception Snacks: 4 to 5pm
  • 6:30 pm - Dinner
  • Activity: Signing waivers, cabin assignments, scoping out the campsite
  • Activity: Divide into swimming groups, based on speed. May require getting wet. Coach Kelvin may wish to see swimmers in the water
  • Activity: Setting up water courses
Saturday
  • 7 am pre-swim snack
  • 8 am to 9:15 am - Open Water Skill - Coach Kelvin (Sighting, Breathing patterns, cornering, long strokes) - 1:15 hours
  • 9:30 am - Breakfast
  • 10:30 - 11:30 am - Workshop #1: Stroke Shaping / Facilitator: Coach Kelvin Landolt
  • 12 noon to 1:30 pm - Swim - 1.5 hours
  • 1:45 pm - Lunch
  • Rest
  • 4 pm to 6:15 pm - Swim - 2:15 hours
  • 6:30 - Dinner
  • 8:30 pm - Campfire Snack
  • 9:00 pm - Workshop #2: Campfire Open Water Swim Open Forum / Facilitator: Coach Kelvin Landolt
Sunday
  • 7 am pre-swim snack
  • 8 am to 9:15 am - Swim - 1 hour 15 min
  • 9:30 am - Breakfast
  • 10:00 am Workshop # 3:TBA / Facilitator: TBA
  • 11:00 am to 2:00 pm - Distance Swim - 2.5 hours
  • 2:15 pm - Lunch
  • Activity: Take down of water courses, Boat and canoe required,
  • Depart by 4 pm - No dinner served.
